The De Soto National Forest is located in Southern Mississippi and offers year-round recreation opportunities, including hiking, biking, camping, ATVing, boating, hunting and horseback riding. Two wilderness areas are found within the forest - the Black Creek and the Leaf. Towns such as Brooklyn, New Augusta and McLain are located within the forest.
