Natchez hosts a Fall and Spring Pilgrimage when nearly 30 of the city's antebellum mansions, most of them private residences, open their doors to visitors. Guides are in period costume and each house features 18th and 19th century furnishings, porcelain, silver, clothing, tools, documents and diaries. The Spring Pilgrimage takes place for five weeks every year in March and April, while the Fall Pilgrimage follows for two weeks in September and October.

Each November, Natchez presents a presentation at the Natchez City Cemetery of selected grave sites and the individuals buried there. Guides direct groups from grave to grave where local actors, dressed in period costumes, give commentaries and musical tributes about the various historical people buried within.
