Elmore James Memorial Marker
Erected in the town of Ebenezer, north of Columbia, this monument commemorates the life of musician Elmore James. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this blues legend is noted utilizing the slide guitar in much of his work. The monument features images of James along with lyrics to some of his work.

James Chaney Memorial and Gravesite
Erected on the 25th anniversary of his death, this monument is located in Meridian, Mississippi. James Chaney was a civil rights activist who was assassinated in 1964. Potential visitors are encouraged to call the cemetery for exact directions to the monument.
